The Victoria Park project is a large open space green development within the green square community vision prescient of South Sydney. The project commenced in 2001. Our involvement started with the ECO building complex, followed by Nova, Aria, Form and the Nest. At ECO building complex, there are 141 apartments, terraces and a shop are located on two city blocks about 5500m2 each. The buildings have been designed to respond to the climate through the use of a layer of transition appropriate to each orientation. Sliding louvre screens, shutters and fixed sunhoods are provided to adjust the dwellings to solar orientation, day light levels, adjacent buildings and the streetscape condition.
