(PRWEB) October 17, 2005 -- Of the 70 fatalities in the construction industry in the past twelve months, almost half of those were caused by falls from height. In 2003/2004, 67 people died and nearly 4000 suffered a serious injury as a result of a fall from height in the workplace.

As the Health and Safety Executive announce that they are to launch a major campaign next year to target falls from height, and as there has been a greater focus in general on working at height, in part due to the new Work at Height regulations, Turner Access and HSS have together developed a new product that tackles this problem head on, providing a safe, low-level access solution: the AlphaStep (podium).
