PRWEB) March 10, 2008 -- Jerome W. Hovorka, vice president of the architectural, planning and interior design firm Rees Associates, Inc., has been named Director of Atlanta Operations.
"Jerry's experience and knowledge will be invaluable in expanding the firm's Southeastern presence, particularly as it relates to our healthcare and senior living practices," said Dr. Frank W. Rees Jr., founder, president, and CEO of the firm.
A veteran in healthcare architecture, Hovorka has played key roles in a wide variety of national and international projects for Rees Associates. From 2001 - 2008, he led the firm's healthcare practice. He relocated from the Oklahoma City office to Atlanta in 2006, bringing immeasurable experience in urban, suburban and rural/community healthcare facilities to REES clients nationally and in the Southeast. Particularly noted for his work with Critical Access Hospitals, his design and project management expertise is reflected by his contribution to award-winning facilities such as the Johns Hopkins affiliated Anadolu Medical Center in Turkey, Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma, OU Physicians Health Sciences Center Campus in Oklahoma and Saint Clare's Hospital System in New Jersey. Hovorka's specialties include master planning, renovations and expansions for acute and tertiary care facilities; ambulatory care and diagnostic centers; and medical office buildings.
Hovorka holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oklahoma. He is currently a licensed architect in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, New Jersey and Oklahoma and is NCARB Certified. He has been with the firm since 1987.
