(PRWEB) May 6, 2006 -– Gateway Builders and Properties recently started construction on a $500,000 expansion at wire manufacturer VAR Industries existing Elkhart, Indiana facility.

The project will expand VAR’s current facility by 18,000 square feet and is part of a total investment of 3.5 million dollars which includes the new construction, and the purchase of additional manufacturing machinery and equipment. The investment will allow VAR to triple is current work force. The current average wage for a VAR employee is $31,900.
