Clean Air Products Announces the Series 412 Laminar Air Flow Clean Work Bench for a Mini Clean Room Environment

Clean Air Products designs and manufactures the Series 412 Laminar Air Flow Clean Work Bench designed to create a free standing ultra clean zone or mini clean room environment. The system has been designed to provide an excellent solution for air filtration requirements in a clean zone area by using a HEPA filter that is 99.99% efficient. An ULPA filter is also available.

The Work Bench is of open frame construction with an all metal welded filter module. This module houses the blower, motor, HEPA or ULPA filter, fluorescent lights, on/off switches, circuit breakers and electrical junction box. Standard widths benches are 2-1/2 inches over nominal 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 foot widths with interior depths of 30, 36, 42 and 54 inches (interior table or working space).

The systems may vary from vertical flow benches with open interiors to exhausting clean benches with wet process, to recirculating temperature control Class 10 systems.

Clean benches can be used in conjunction with clean rooms to create clean zones. They can also be used in lieu of or supplemental to a cleanroom. Often times in larger cleanrooms, there are a few "critical clean" areas. It is sometimes more cost effective to build a lower class clean room andsupplement it with clean benches, than it is to create a higher class cleanroom. This is especially true when over 60% of a typical cleanroom floor space is area where clean manufacturing or storage does not occur.
