June 17, 2005 -- The LEED Green Building Rating System, developed by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), is the only nationally recognized green building rating system. The LEED program evaluates the life cycle performance of the total building and site package.
“ We are excited to add LEED design capability to the services our firm offers. ”
CMA’s ability to direct LEED projects is the result of the recent certification of staff members Curt W. Fain, Architect, AIA, CSI, and Paul J. Pascarelli, Assoc. AIA, as LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP). Accreditation requires attending a LEED workshop and passing the LEED Professional Accreditation exam. LEED Accredited Professionals have the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the entire green building design process.
Bruce Carlson, CMA’s founder and principal said, “We are excited to add LEED design capability to the services our firm offers. LEED provides a complete framework for assessing building performance and meeting sustainability goals which will allow our clients to realize more efficient buildings.” Efficient buildings continue to give clients a return on their investment, long after construction ends.
